Alright, figured I'd put this down in case anyone started to
question why this site exists.
First off let me introduce myself: I'm Wanzer, the author, creator and
administrator of Amatory Star. Currently
with the amazing artist: Hisares and a group of dedicated members/readers,
SilentChill, Akabur and Bookfisher, I'm trying to revive an old site known as
Broken Heart Bordello. It was a rather
magical place, much more active than this humble little blog; conversations
flourished, debates raged and the community was on a whole friendly and quick
to accept new members. Akabur and Smersh
did an amazing job with that site and for a time...it was good.
Sadly, that good time came to an end. Finical issues put BhB out of business and
its been almost a full year since the website I so loved closed. Recently though, I noticed a strapping young
man by the name of Barnes Guard getting attention for a Jax and Daxter themed
version of BhB on facebook and Akabur's blog.
After doing some research into the matter, I figured that I could start
my own as well and the spirit of Broken Heart Bordello would be doubled. After a little talk with Akabur on the
matter, I opened Amatory Star to the public and have been working on it since
December 31st.
Aside from that, I don't have much else to say about
myself. I'm a college student trying my
best to keep my grades up, doing this and other writings in my spare time to
keep my sanity. Often times I don't
sleep much and I have a bad habit of making myself bigger than I really
am. I guess I'd say my biggest flaw is
my arrogance, but I don't even recognize what I did was arrogant until several
minutes after the fact. So I'm a wee bit
socially awkward, but I'm working on it.

1. Where am I, what is this place?
Welcome! No matter how you've come across this place, you have found yourself in the Universe of Amatory Stars. This is a science fiction collaboration between myself (Wanzer, the Writer), Hisares the artist and you the reader. While I make no apologizes for the adult content of this place, if it offends you, you do not have to stick around, in fact more power to you for standing up for your morals. If you are here to engage in the joys that are erotic and violent reading, then you are in the right place. This story follows the adventures of a man simply known as the 'Swabbie', at first he was nothing more than a janitor trying to make ends meat aboard a simply trading vessel, but now he has a chance to finally make something of his life.
2. What do you mean by collaboration?
Well obviously I can't draw and Hisares couldn't do the entire story by himself, but you may be wondering what I mean by that you the readers are collaborating with us. Well it is rather simple, this little tale is a choose your own adventure and the choices laid out are selected by the readers. So what will you do? Run Swabbie straight into the ground...or make him a God among men?
3. That sounds awesome, but how do I choose?
After every update there will be a small list of options to choose from regarding the story line. Pick one and vote via the intense debate system that has been installed into the site. From there, view other people's votes and comment and respond. You are free to debate why your choice is the better and get your view across to other voters. Remember you can always change your vote, but you can't vote more than once.
4. I've voted now what?
Your part in the story doesn't end there. You see I want to insure that my viewers can always participate in the story even when voting isn't going on. I've installed a section called the Casino Lounge, in this region readers can create their own character that is part of a shady organization that is secretly controlling the main characters actions behind the scenes. Not only can you interact with other player's characters and my own, but you can place bets on the outcomes of specific votes.
5. What is the point of interacting with other characters and gambling?
Gambling in the Casino Lounge doesn't boil down to just bragging rights who is a better guesser, it actually serves a purpose. Gamblers not only get to see the numbers of their chips go up, but the higher their chips are, the more influence they can exert on the story. When a player reaches a thousand chips, they are allowed to vote twice on once every three updates, when they reach two thousand, they can vote twice every update, when they reach four thousand, a player can begin inducing an extra option at every voting sequence; however, these still must be voted on. Finally, at eight thousand chips, the player will be contacted by me and receive a secret prize, this will reset their current chip total to two thousand though.
On the side of interacting with other characters, I constantly read and interact with the Casino Lounge myself as a sort of overseer. I'm looking for talent and strong characters that I can possibly cameo or invest into the story. Show me a good character and I'll be sure that they make it into the story line somehow.
